Our Process

Our secret is...well, you!

We commence every case with a cup of coffee and a chat. Your stories, dreams, goals, interests, and especially the barriers you have, because they all become the building blocks of our future work. They become our north star and guide all our work to help you start working in Canada. We look at your case through the lens of you!

Once your north star has been established, we use it to guide our research in building a roadmap that can guide successful outcomes. For those seeking work permits or work holidays in Canada, we delve into case law and explore available programs tailored to your goals, working closely with you to accomplish your objectives. This is important as many programs may be available to you.

We sit down with you to review the action roadmap, and iterate if required. If not, we move to implementation. It is important that you review things and ensure that you are comfortable with your chosen work permit or work holiday pathway.

In our implementation, we will engage with you and Canadian immigration to create a case that has the highest chance of success, especially when it comes to securing work permits or work holidays. During this period, we are always available to help you along the way.

Afterwards, we will check in with you and see where you are in your immigration journey, whether it's for work permits or work holidays. You tell us how you have been, and we will put a fresh pot on! The north star may change, and we work with you to adjust your sails toward your immigration goals!

Step 01.

The first step is to secure a job offer from a Canadian employer. The job offer is typically required for most work permit applications. The employer may need to provide certain details about the position, including the job description, salary, and other relevant information.

Step 02.

In many cases, the employer needs to obtain a positive LMIA from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). The LMIA verifies that hiring a foreign worker will not negatively impact the Canadian job market. It involves demonstrating that there are no qualified Canadians available for the job.

Step 03.

Once the job offer and, if necessary, the positive LMIA are obtained, the individual can submit a work permit application. This application is typically made to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It may involve providing various documents, such as a valid passport, proof of job offer, and other supporting materials.

MCD Immigration Consulting provides each client with a through and complete application that puts your best case forward to your work permit!

Step 04.

If the work permit application is approved, the individual will receive a work permit. They can then travel to Canada and start working for the specified employer. It's crucial to adhere to the conditions outlined in the work permit and be aware of its expiry date.

For those looking to take advantage of our visa shield we will monitor your visa and keep you up to date on the options and opportunities available to you. we will also notify you when your visa needs to be updated.
